Dr. Hana's BlogHow Much Nose Wash To Use?March 29th, 2009Dear Dr. Hana…I bought the Nasopure Starter Kit a couple weeks ago at the Health Food Store. It really seems to be helping. I noticed in your instrcutions " Discard the solution after one week and remix a new batch after washing and rinsing the bottle and cap". I wonder if I am doing it wrong…I have been using the full container of the salt and washing both sides until it is empty…so far I have not had any ill effects…is this OK? Sunny H. You are NOT doing it incorrectly, Sunny. Many find washing with only 1 ounce per side to exit is adequate to do the trick. Others find using the entire bottle per washing feels ‘right’. One factor that effects how much you may wish to use is if you are currently congested. The more congested, the more you will need to really clean things. If you are perfectly clear and washing for prevention, a smaller amount is all that is required. If some solution remains after one week, I suggest washing the bottle and remixing a fresh batch. Please let me know if I can answer anything else. Dr HanaPosted in Questions and Answers | Sinus HeadacheMarch 29th, 2009Dr. Hana,I first heard about your product from a local morning talk radio host, the Tom Roten Morning Show in Huntington, WV. It was probably 2 years ago. Your product did wonders for me. I was basically living on Tylenol Sinus medicine at the time. I was having sinus headaches at least 4 days a week. I started using your product and was simply amazed when I didn’t have a sinus headache for 6 weeks then another one about 2 months after that. Needless to say, your product worked better than any medication I had found and best of all it’s all natural. My father has been having a lot of sinus and allergy issues recently so I ordered this kit for him. I’m sure it will do wonders for him as well. The product is fantastic. Thank you!!
Posted in Questions and Answers | Clearing The Air One Nose At A Time, Caring For Your Personal FilterMarch 15th, 2009One of the most overlooked aspects of our health and that of everyone around us involves the nose, and every day this vital part of our existence, if properly cared for, has the power to “change our entire consciousness and mood in a single second.” Dr. Hana, as she proudly proclaims, “knows noses” and is on a mission to educate us all “about how, when a nose fails in some fashion, it affects the ears, sinuses, throat, appetite and disposition. A dysfunctional nose can cause headaches, snoring, coughing, and asthma; the list goes on and on.” In the interest of full disclosure, Dr. Hana states in the beginning of her book that “this book is a plea, a pitch, an argument, even a nag in favor of daily nose washing.” Clearing the Air, One Nose at a Time begins by running through the functions of an organ which not only draws in and filters oxygen for the lungs but plays a key role in the most enjoyable parts of life. Sexuality, the taste of our favorite foods, the storehouse of memories which smells can invoke in a millisecond and our moods are all regulated by this amazing olfactory sense, we should not neglect our noses. Dr. Hana shares 20 years of common sense lessons learned during her medical practice in the second half of the book. The ‘Seasoned Schnoozz’, ‘Ear and Hearing Issues’, ‘Snoring’, ‘Sinusitis’, ‘Allergies’, ‘Nasal Polyps’ and of course, ‘Children’s Noses’, are just a few. Ailments originating in the nose are reviewed and natural approaches are suggested in simple language. This book is a must read for anyone with a nasal woes. Dr Hana is the ‘snotty nose expert’. Posted in News | Nose IssuesMarch 14th, 2009Dr. Hana, I was singing the praises of Nasopure to my chiropractor, Dr. Betty Gonyaw, yesterday since I was aware that she had a neti pot and was not so pleased with it. She immediately called Spring Valley to reserve a Nasopure for her to pick up. I will be curious to learn about her experience. I am still amazed with your unbelievably simple, effective solution to such a chronic health problem. I guess you could say "it seems too good to be true" and it is not!! (How often does that happen?) I sent a gift set of Nasopure to my son’s family in hopes that they will pursue using it on my two year old grandson. He has had nose issues from birth and had multiple ear infections, tonsillitis, etc. Many thanks & blessings, Vicky Walling
Posted in Questions and Answers | Help With Chronic CongestionMarch 14th, 2009I am a retired dentist (Periodontist). I had seen something along the lines of nasal flushing on - don’t chuckle- the Oprah show. I saw your product in one of the Canadian drug stores and being familiar with the concept, picked it up and have been using it since. It really helps with my chronic nasal congestion. Wm. R.
