Dr. Hana's BlogMore Kids Loving The NetiNovember 28th, 2009I have been using a neti pot for years and recently was given the 4oz. little squirt to go and both my 11 and 8 yr old enjoy using your Nasopure neti first thing in the morning and again before bed. I’m happy they can enjoy the benefits from it. Sarah, UT Posted in Questions and Answers | Kids Learning To NetiNovember 28th, 2009My daughter was 4 when I first read about nasal washing, she is now 7 years old. I would say it has had a significant positive effect on her life. Prior to discovering this we went to several pediatric ENT’s who could not really offer any help. We tried all kinds of nasal sprays - sea-water, homeopathic, and various other concoctions. She hated all of these and they did not really help. We burned through several humidifiers, and I even spent evenings sitting with her in a steamy bathroom so that the steam would ease the congestion a bit. She took to the “little squirt” almost immediately – I told her something would be coming from America that would help her which built some excitement - she looked forward to its arrival. She had no problem using it from the beginning – one trick that helped was doing it in front of the computer while she watched the videos of the kids using the Nasopure on your site. From the outset, it really made a big difference. Her congestion is now less constant than it was. We go through periods of a few weeks where she asks for the Nasopure every day, and then weeks where she feels she doesn’t need it at all. But it is extremely reassuring to her and to us knowing that relief is available whenever the problem flairs up. By the way, her 3 year old sister, who thankfully does not have the same kind of congestion but who does need to do EVERYTHING that her big sister does and now asks for her own “squirt”. Thanks, Gideon. ISRAELPosted in Questions and Answers | Seasonal Allergy Sufferer Suffers No MoreNovember 21st, 2009Hi Dr. Hana, I learned about your Nasopure system from a wonderful training you conducted for us a Vitamin Cottage last summer. As an seasonal allergy sufferer the Nasopure was a daily routine. Since the season has passed I stopped using it daily. This past weekend I flew to Chicago to visit my family. I really regretted not taking the Nasopure because my sinuses were really irritated and dry from the air during the flight. The same thing happened on the way back. The first thing I did when I got home was to use the Nasopure. I can’t tell you how much it relieved the dryness and irritation. It was night and day! I will never travel again without the Nasopure. By the way, the Boulder store is selling the Nasopure like hot cakes. Thank you for your wonderful Nasopure. I most assuredly prevented a sinus infection or some other random germ you pick up while traveling. Katy LoSasso, Natural Grocers by Vitamin Cottage Posted in Questions and Answers | Toddler Washes Her NoseNovember 21st, 2009Hi Dr. Hana, I had my granddaughter, Courtney (2 yrs. 9 mo.), overnight last week. She had her usual stuffy nose, and getting tired of hearing her not breathe easily, I decided to show her the videos of the kids washing their noses. She thought they were pretty cool and wanted to watch them over and over. Then I told her I had a bottle like that and asked her if she wanted to try it. She hopped off my lap and headed upstairs all excited to do it! I showed her how I washed my own nose, and she was eager to try it herself. She has never been afraid of water on her face or up her nose, and she was quite the little trooper about it. She was just excited to do it! And she asked to do it again a couple more times the first day! By the third time, she was getting the hang of holding her breath, and we managed a pretty good wash, getting out quite a bit of "gunk". I definitely think it helped her breathe easier overnight. She also has been able to blow her nose for some time now, so that part was easy. Just thought you’d like to hear my success story. I’m so proud of how well Courtney did (and so was she), and I definitely let her know it. Posted in Questions and Answers | Refuse Medications For Sinus InfectionNovember 21st, 2009Hello Dr. Hana. Earlier this year, my husband insisted I begin using Nasopure after a couple of months of sinus infections. I ended up at a ENT doctor because of hearing loss in one ear. Due to some miscommunication between my referring doctor and the ENT’s office, it was found out that I have very deformed septum which resulted in a diagnosis of chronic sinus infection. Since then I have not had to see any doctors or have any medication because when I feel a sinus issue starting, I up my usage of Nasopure from once a day to 2 or 3 times. I refuse to give up my sinus cleansing because I love not having to take medication to clear up sinus problems. Thanks for your time. Karin Hulett
